Desperate

Y'all, I am in total party planning mode!

With less than 3 months to go, I'm starting to freak out.

I have most everything figured out...almost.

I would really like Elmo to make an appearance at K's birthday.

 And, I know she would love it!!

In our hometown, you can rent the characters. I tried to get them to do it but we're too far now! :(
I contacted a local rental and they want a boat load of money for 15 minutes.. NOT HAPPENING!
I found this Elmo costume on e-bay, and it costs the same to buy it as it would to rent it from the local company.

However, it's still a lot of money.

And? I'm trying not to blow the bank on this party!

Second dilemma...

I found some super cute Sesame Street cups on etsy, they just cost another boat load of money.

I set out to find red sippy cups with a lid and straw,  that was a lot harder than I ever imagined.

Thanks to handy-dandy google & e-bay I found these babies and they shipped today!
{20 cups for cheaper than I could buy 5 on etsy!!!!}

The dilemma?
I really, really want to put Elmo's face on the cup.

I have a Sesame Street cricut cartridge, but it doesn't have just his face.

Here's where I need y'all...

I need information on any type of Elmo costume rental.

 Or, if you know of a cheaper place to buy the costume.

Next thing, I need somebody with Sure Cuts A Lot to help me with Elmo's face outline. I can do the nose & mouth, but I cannot get the eyes to look right!
(I can send you a picture of what I'm talking about..I just don't want to put the picture on my blog of the cups since I didn't purchase them)

21 Months

Kaidence, you are 21 months old
{as of June 20th!!!}

 

You weigh around 29-30 pounds.

You wear a combination of 24 months & 2t clothes.

You wear a size 5 diaper.

You wear a size 6 or 7 shoe.
You're eye teeth finally came through, so you now have 16 teeth.

You started sleeping in your toddler bed this month!
You're such a big girl, and sleep all through the night in it.

Naps were a little off at first, but you have started taking those in your big girl bed as well.

You love to talk!
Sometimes you make up words, but you're getting a lot better about saying real words.

You love to repeat stuff we say, and you've started putting 2 & 3 words together.

You have also started calling your Daddy "Josh"! You did this with me, but you would still say Momma. Not this time! When we say Daddy you correct us and say JOSH!

You are still obsessed with Elmo!
You watch it every morning when you have breakfast because you usually wake up asking for "ELNO"

You love to dance. In the afternoons when Daddy gets home you come into the kitchen with us and grab our hands to dance. It's so precious!

You also love to "wite". If you see a piece of paper or anything you could write with you start insisting you "wite"

You call any type of vehicle a "choo-choo".

You love the water!!! You would take a bath or swim 24/7 if we would let you!
And, you're quite the dare devil in the pool.

You are so good about remembering names.

You have two little boy friends named Tripp & Gage and every boy we see is "Chip" or "Cage"

You are saying most all of our family members names. You call Grammie "Nammie" and you can say Heather, you are just stubborn and say Baby because you know she's Brayson's Mommy.

I cannot believe that you will be 2 in only 3 short months!!!
You are growing up way too fast! :(
I love watching you grow and learn, but I miss having a squishy baby sometimes.

I'm behind, so I'm just going to do one post with basically the last week!

Wednesday-

Kaidence had her 2nd dentist appointment. She did so much better than lasts time, and she's still cavity free-woohoo!

She got a sticker for being a big girl & she stuck it on her cheek.

After her appointment we went to Old Navy to find me a dress, but ended up getting her a cute outfit instead. Then we went to Chick-Fil-A for her to play & burn some energy!

That afternoon Aunt Amy came to our house to spend a few days with us.

Thursday-

We went to Mobile to shop and have lunch.

After shopping we went to Cold Snap for some yogurt.

Kaidence got a sticker & guess where she put it..

When Josh got home we went to Mexican and he had to pick up his tuxedo.

I took a picture of K with the flash on & she kept saying "EYES!" I guess it was a little too bright for her.

Friday-

Amy took Kaidence back home with her for the weekend, so Josh took me out for my birthday lunch.

That night we went to Mason & Mary-Beth's rehearsal dinner.

Saturday-

We lazied around most of the morning, and that afternoon we went to the wedding.

It was gorgeous & the reception was a blast!

Sunday-

We went to Evergreen to celebrate Father's Day with Josh's dad, and to pick up Kaidence!
I seriously didn't take any pictures.

Monday-

My Birthday!!! We spent the day at the house until Josh got home, then we had an ice cream date outside and watched a movie.

Kaidence also turned 21 months! I'll do her pictures & post tomorrow! :)

Busy Weekend.

Friday

Josh was off work so we had family time after dentist & new tire time.

We went to The Watermelon Patch. It's a local play place and Kaidence had a blast!

{This puppet reminded us of Guy Fieri. hahah!}

After we played we had an awesome lunch, then headed home. Josh had to play at an all boy Royal Ranger's camp this weekend so us girls had a movie night.

Kaidence loved sitting around in her Elmo pajamas watching Tangled!

Saturday

We got up, straightened the house some, and waited on our guests. Kaidence's Paw-Paw, Grammie, & Uncle Aaron came down for a visit!

We went shopping and out to eat at Outback. I took my camera, but took zero pictures! :( You should thank me, though, because Kaidence was being a hot mess since she didn't have a nap!

Sunday

Josh came home and we went to Fairhope to the "beach"/park.

Then more shopping and ended the night with dinner at O'Charley's.

Scattered Thoughts. .

This is just going to be random points because we haven't done much lately, but I did want to document a few things!

*All of these pictures are from our pool day Tuesday.



*Kaidence slept in her big girl bed for the first time last night! She did great and didn't get up until around 9!

*Since she's sleeping in her toddler bed, I want to get her big girl room done.

*Josh has a boy's only camp he is playing at this weekend, so this would be the perfect weekend to do it. Only problem? Painting with a "helper"

*It's only a little over 3 months until her birthday and I have nothing major done! I should probably start on that soon!

*I'm on the hunt for a cute camera strap cover. I want something with ruffles and a lens cap holder. Any recommendations?

*Awhile back I got a groupon deal for spray tans. 2 for $19-heeyyy! I'm getting the first one next week and I'm excited that I won't be glowing in the dark from my whiteness anymore!



*I'm excited that Father's day & my birthday are only a day apart. We can celebrate with one dinner which is fabulous since K is not the best diner-outer!


...Off to try big girl bed night #2!
