Silence To Come...

What: Moment of Silence for Cohen
When: Thursday July 1st from midnight to 11:59 pm.
How: Bloggers participating will post the Cohen banner  or simply post Cohen’s name in large letters on their blog.
Why: July 1st Megan and Brent will be holding Cohen’s memorial service. The moment of silence is an opportunity for Megan’s blog community to stand behind her and support her on this difficult day. Linking up will give Megan a chance to see the support at a glance.

No, I do not "know" Megan and Brent, but I have been following her blog since she found out she was pregnant with precious Cohen.
He went home to be with Jesus a few days after he was born.
I know if I was in this situation, I would want to know there were people praying for me!

I do plan not to post tomorrow in Honor of Cohen's precious life here on Earth! And, to let Megan and Brent know I am praying for them. Praying for peace, comfort, and guidance as they have a memorial service for their first born!

Weekend on Lay Lake

{I am so behind on blogging. I'm going to try to catch up today & tomorrow!}
Friday, June 18th, we headed to Josh's Aunt Brenda's in Clanton!
She lives on the lake in a gorgeous house.
We actually spent the night with my mom the night before so we didn't have to leave quite as early!

Luckily, K slept most of the 2 hour drive up there.
After we got there and unloaded all of our bags, we headed straight to the boat!
K loved it! She slept most of the time.
We did have to take a dip in the lake to cool off, though!
She did not like stopping though.
It was just too hot to be sitting still!
We went in for lunch, had a swimsuit change, and then went back out to the lake!
I didn't take any more pictures Friday.
Saturday morning we got up early, had breakfast, and then headed back out on the boat.

K had her first taste of diet Sunkist, and she loved it!
We came in for lunch and it started to rain.
We all took a good little nap and then hit the lake again!
It was a little chilly, so cousin Wendy let K borrow her clothes to keep warm :)

And, here's a great video.
{Josh had been pulling everybody on the tube all weekend. I talked him into letting me pull him! I have never pulled anybody on the tube, and it was the second time I've drove a boat in my entire life!}
{Yes, I did mean to throw him off...It was "payback" -HA! This was the first time I pulled him. I pulled him twice after this, and the kids said the third time he did cartwheels across the water -OOPS!}

{*the laughing and talking you hear is not me, it's Josh's little bro!*}

9 Months Old {Sunday the 20th}

Kaidence, you are 9 months old!!!

STATS:
Weight: 21 pounds {you finally "slowed down"}
Height: 27.5 inches
Head Circumference: 18.75 inches
You are a full time crawler now!
You are trying so hard to walk. You even crawl with one foot in "walking position"
You are pulling up and cruising across the furniture.
At the lake this weekend, you were crawling and then stood up on your own for a few seconds without pulling up on anything :)
You still have 6 teeth, but I think you're cutting 2 more on top.
You still love to eat - HA!
You eat 6 ounces at least every 3 hours during the day.
You eat all types of baby food still.
You also eat lots of table food. You love everything but popsicles!!
You sleep through the night, as long as you are at home in your bed!
This weekend, you were like a newborn again because you weren't in your bed.
You are taking 2 naps now, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
You love to play!!
You have started giving big, wet kisses.
And, blowing raspberries on people. It's precious :)
You "talk" all.the.time!
You have said "Dada" & "Baba" a few times. I think you can associate those two..everything else is just jibber-jabber!
You wave "bye-bye" and clap when you get excited or do something you're proud of!
You love your daddy so much! I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual though ;)
I'm 99.9% sure you're going to be a Daddy's Girl!
You do love your Mommy, too.
Daddy is just your #1 choice! :)
You are wearing mostly 12 months clothes.
You can wear some 6-9 months still, just not onesies because of your chunky thighs!
You wear size 3 diapers during the day and size 4 diapers at night.
You hate shoes and refuse to leave them on, so I'm not sure what size you wear in those ;)
Happy 9 Months,
Sweet K!
We love you very much! :)

Short, sweet, and to the point!

I'm going to just make this short and sweet for 2 reasons.
1 - JOSH IS ON VACATION THIS WEEK, and I want to spend as much time with him as possible
2 - JOSH IS ON VACATION THIS WEEK!!

This weekend, was just like most weekends ... jam-packed and fun!
Josh's mom, dad, and brother Aaron came down Saturday.
We met at Denny's for breakfast and then went to the Exploreum.
After the Exploreum, we came home and Josh grilled yummy steaks for dinner.
Paw Paw & Grammie left Sunday after lunch at 'The Crack', but Uncle Aaron stayed.
He is going to be spending the week with us! :)
Crazy story - Josh & I have been together for almost 7 years. Last night at dinner we realized Aaron was in PRE-K or K when we started dating! And, that his middle brother was around Aaron's age. We said it had just been too long ;) HA! But, seriously, it makes us feel old!
Today, we had to find K a life jacket.
They are NOT easy to come by that small, and they are for SURE not fashionable!
She ended up with Dora the Explorer {gag!}
I despise characters! I don't mind her watching them, but I do not want her wearing them!
I decided I would rather have her safe instead of cute ;)

We have a jam-packed busy week!
Tomorrow we're going swimming, Wednesday tubing, Thursday picking up Wendy & Savannah, and this weekend we are headed to the lake -hoodyhoo!

{I have a few pictures, but we are borrowing a computer from church so we can have sound & for some reason it won't upload pictures on here! :(}

Y'all have a WONDERFUL week!

The rest of the story...

I know I already did 2 posts about our weekend.
But, I'm going to share the entire story :)
Thursday - Josh got rained out at work, so we headed to Pensacola to get Wendy & Savannah to spend the weekend with us! We saw their amazing new house and then went to Nikko's for Hibatchi with their family :)

Friday - We got up early and headed to the zoo, had lunch at Subway, went to the exploreum, then we walked around Downtown Mobile.
We looked at several "monuments" and studied up on our history! ;)
{Another post on that to come this Summer!We're planning a History Day with the girls!}
Luckily, K was wore out from all the fun...
So she got in a very good nap while we drove around before heading to the theaters!
We saw 'Shrek 3D'! K was good about 1/2 the time, then she was OVER her busy day.
Good thing this Shrek wasn't my favorite-HA!
Josh had praise&worship practice, so we all just hung out with him and then went to Mexican for dinner-YUM!

Saturday - Josh got up early to go fishing.
Me and the girls stayed in bed until about 8:30, then got up and had a good breakfast.
We had plans to go to the Blueberry festival and to a youth rally, but K had different plans!
She was beyond ill, seriously!
We decided to head to Old Navy and then we picked up McD's for lunch!
We came home and ate watermelon :)
Then, I cooked some yummy Chinese food for dinner.
K went to bed and we stayed up and watched some movies :)

Sunday - Josh got called into work, so just us girls went to church.
K gave us a big scare! She loves standing up in the pew and looking at everybody. She has learned to "rock" herself, too. Yesterday, she decided to mix the two and BAM!
 She hit her little mouth on the bench.
She had big tears streaming down her face and was crying louder than ever before.
She finally let me open her mouth and she was bleeding! :(
I panicked!! I got up to carry her out and a man made a face at her and she started laughing and clapping. SO, I knew she was OK! :)
After church, the girls and I went to Cracker Barrel for lunch.
She really enjoyed playing...and eating NON-eatable things..
K got her first meal at a restaurant :)
She ate about 1/4 of the grilled cheese and a pretty good bit of the apple sauce :)
We came home, got on our lounged clothes and at more watermelon!
The girls left around 3:30 and K fell asleep and slept until Josh got home about 5:15!
She was one tired girl :)

EXPLOREUM!

Another first for Kaidence was The Exploreum!
It's a hands-on science center. I was a little iffy, but the girls assured us it was fun!
And, they were totally right!!!
We did every exhibit in there and watched an IMAX film.
The first exhibit we went to was the 'My Body Works'. It is all about the body, of course!
It has different 'surgeries' you can perform, has stations to teach you to work out and tells your body mass, and a station for portions!
I know, it doesn't sound fun-HA! But, we really did have a great time!
Then, we went to the 'Minds On Hall'!
You can make all kinds of virtual things: dances, roller coasters, fish worlds, planets.
This is Wendy posing on one of the exhibits
We watched Adventures in Wild California at the IMAX theater next.
Kaidence loved it!
It was funny watching her trying to see every little thing on that big, huge screen!
At one point, a man was sky diving and she threw up her little hands. It was so funny because she kept doing it every time it showed him. :)
We went to 'Hands On Hall' after the movie.
They have all sorts of cool things!
Even a place you can make your own Channel 5 newscast.
The girls and Josh loved that :)
On that Hall, they also had this little set up...
...the sane one didn't do it! ;)
They also have a really nice 0-5 year old section!
I see a BDAY party here in a few years ;)

Everything there was super fun! :)
It wore some little girl OUT though...
