Easter Sunday

While we were asleep Saturday night the Bunny made his stop with a basket full of goodies for Kaidence!
Photobucket
Her face was glowing with deight when she first saw her basket!
Photobucket
She investigated each thing very carefully, just to make sure Bunny didn't let her down.

We went to our normal church for 8:30 service, and then we headed into Mobile to another church's 10:30 service that Josh was playing at.
After service they had an Easter egg hunt, and Kaidence got to find a few eggs.
Photobucket
While we were standing around talking, Kaidence and her little buddy Hunter found some opened jelly beans and helped themselves to them.
They were both covered in orange/yellow/pink!
I was freaking out too much to take a picture-ha!

We left church and headed to the Clement's house for Easter lunch and another egg hunt.
(Luckily, this momma planned ahead and had another outfit, too!)

Kaidence woke up super early, ate way too much candy, and didn't nap.
And, by the end of the day this was how she was feeling.
(her parents were too-ha!)

Easter Weekend 2011

Thursday:
Photobucket
{these two are T-R-O-U-B-L-E!}
Josh's band had a show on the beach in Gulf Shores.
Photobucket
It was at sunset, and so pretty outside!
Photobucket

Friday:
Daddy & KK had a daddy/daughter swimming date while I made cake pops in peace.
Photobucket
We had a Crawfish Boil/Play Date at our house that night.
Photobucket
All together there was 13 adults and 9 kids. All the kids came in their cute clothes, but within 5 minutes had some form of food/candy on their clothes or face-OOPS!
Photobucket
The kids had a blast hunting eggs, and playing with Benny the Bunny!
Photobucket

Saturday:
Josh went fishing with Jeremy, so Amy & I took the girls to the Egg Drop at the USS Alabama.
Photobucket
I think everybody in our county had the same idea-ha!
Photobucket
They dropped 100,000 eggs from helicopters, which was really neat.
Photobucket
While everybody raced to get an egg me and Kaidence just sat back and watched everyone.
Photobucket
After the Egg Drop, we went to Bass Pro to see the bunny.
Gracie took a picture with him, but Kaidence was a mess from all the candy so she didn't do one this year.
(And, because I wasn't sure how she would act around him since she didn't like Santa this year)
Photobucket

We came home so K could get a nap and come down off her sugar high.
Then,we went got dressed to go with Josh to band practice, went out to eat, and then came home for an early bedtime to get ready for our big Easter Sunday!

...Sunday coming tomorrow!

Happy Easter

We hope you all have a very Happy Easter!

And, while it's fun to do egg hunts, jelly beans, Easter bunnies, peeps, and all the bright cheery things..
Take time today to remember the real reason we celebrate this day.
That today is Sunday!
That even though He was dead in that tomb, He rose on this day!

"He is not here; He has risen!" Luke 24:6

19 Months Old

Photobucket
Kaidence, today you are 19 months old!
{And, your Mommy is actually writing your post on your actual Monthday!}

You are growing so much.
It seems like you learn something new every day!
Photobucket
You learn to try to repeat what we say, and you do a pretty good job at it.
You even repeat what you see us do.
Just today, I was blow drying your hair and you grabbed Daddy's contact case and started poking your eye.
I'm truly amazed at how fast you learn new things.
Photobucket
You got your first pet.
Benny the Bunny!
You love him, Daddy loves him, Mommy is praying hard that she will feel the same soon-ha!
Photobucket
You also took your first over-night vacation.
We went to Destin with Grammie & Paw-Paw, and you loved the water!
I'm so thankful we live on the Coast, so that you can be a little beach girl! :)
Photobucket
You love to say your prayers!
You cover your little eyes, and then let out a big "AMEN!"
You "blow out" your light when we sing "This Little Light of Mine"
You love to worship and dance to music. It's precious!
Photobucket
{You got Italian Ice for doing so good during your pictures. Bribery is our new BFF!}

Happy 19th Monthday, Sweet Girl!

Wordless Wednesday

Then.

Baby Shower for Brayson!

April 9 -
My oldest sister, Heather, is having my first nephew in May.
He will be the first boy on my side of the family, and I'm excited for some blue!
We had a baby shower for them a few weekends ago.
It was rubber duck themed, and super cute!
Photobucket
{This was the blue punch.}

This is Heather with the rubber duck cake.
Photobucket
Brayson recieved lots of cute blue goodies, too!

Side story, Kaidence loves being the center of attention. I mean, she lives for it!
She sat at the head of the table beside me, and she was constantly hamming it up.
She kept telling everyone "HI!", any time someone had out a camera she would say "CHEESE!", and she was the loudest one at all times.
Of course, when it came time for Heather to open gifts she had to be right in the middle lending a helping hand.

I think it was a great shower, now we're just ready to meet Mr. Brayson!

Back Tracking.

Y'all, I am so behind on blogging.
It would be easy just to start with "life now", but I want to have this for my memory and later on Kaidence's blog-to-book.
So, we are taking it back...
Two weekends ago, to be more specific.
{ooops!}

April 2-
We went to a cute lady bug themed birthday party for Gracie.
Photobucket
{her daddy made the cake by himself. I thought that was too sweet!}
Kaidence loved wearing the party hat. But, she insisted on wearing her "BOOOOW" and hat too.
I was a little shocked she wore the hat at all.
Photobucket
The party was fun, and K had a blast playing with all the big kids!

April 3-
This was Josh's birthday!
He worked Saturday night, so when he got home Sunday AM we all got ready and headed to Fairhope for a family day.
We went to our favorite little park to feed the ducks and geese, but when we got there saw a ton of seagulls.
I don't like these loud, annoying bird..but, I cannot same the same about the other 2/3rds of the trio!
Photobucket
They ran through them atleast 5 times, and K laughed the entire time.
After they entertained the birds, we decided to walk down to the pier.
Photobucket
We stopped to try to get a family picture using the self-timer.
Key word there being try!
Photobucket
After we left the park, we headed to one of our favorite restaurants on the bay for lunch.
Photobucket
We enjoyed a nice lunch outside before heading back home for the day.

*Yes, I decided to take a safety precaution and add a watermark to all of our family/kid pictures. Our pictures have never been taken, but I think it's better to play it safe!*

Weigh In

I weighed first thing this morning, and I am down 3.2 lbs this week.
I'm super excited about this because since Feb 25th, I have lost exactly 10 lbs.

I still love Weight Watchers.
I don't feel like I'm starving, depriving myself, or really on a diet for that matter.
And, that's good for me!

I can't wait to see what I do next week.
I'm hoping for at least 2 lbs!
